The Role of Pricing Strategist

In the role of Pricing Strategist, your overarching goal is to work towards meeting the customer's expectation for attractive and competitive regular prices that meet the company's set profitability targets. Your responsibility is to ensure that pricing strategies are adhered to in consumer pricing, as well as to ensure gross margin and price levels according to agreed targets. Through analysis, you contribute with important inputs and data-driven insights where you see potential.

In the work, it is important to systematically and continuously follow up on the effects of set consumer prices. In a high-paced environment, the role requires you to collaborate closely with colleagues, bring your own insights, and work with clear structure to deliver according to set deadlines.

You will be part of a team of nine people, including four Pricing Strategists, and you will report to the Pricing Manager. The location is at our headquarters in Hässleholm, with office presence at least three days a week.

What will you do?

  • Translate pricing strategies into data-driven and actionable decision support.
  • Calculate, quality-assure, and register regular prices in SAP based on established key figures.
  • Ensure correct price data in SAP with the correct activation date reflected against the store.
  • Analyze the price landscape in close collaboration with category managers to ensure an attractive customer offer based on strategy and budget.
  • Evaluate and monitor strategic pricing.
  • Analyze price levels against price indices continuously, and measure the effects of implemented price changes.

Who are you?

You are a person with strong analytical skills and a good understanding of how pricing decisions affect both business value and customer satisfaction. With your competence, you can translate an overarching pricing strategy into concrete and actionable decision support that creates real value in the business.

As a person, you are structured and work methodically with good planning skills, which allows you to drive your work forward even at a high pace and deliver against strict deadlines. You are quality-conscious and have a sharp eye for detail. You are also collaborative, happy to share your insights, and build trusting relationships within the organization.

We believe that you:

  • Have a relevant university degree in economics, statistics, or equivalent.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in analysis, pricing, or business development.
  • Have very good skills in Excel and BI tools, and experience with SAP is an advantage.
  • Have good competence in pricing, KPI monitoring, and data-driven decision-making, as well as the ability to collaborate closely with colleagues, category managers, and other stakeholders.
